Syria, October 05, 2022 – Leading frontier and emerging markets renewable energy developer and contractor, I-kWh recently commissioned their10MW Solar PV plant located in the city of Adra, Syria.
The 10MW plant is the first phase of a totalof 110MW to be connected to the Syrian grid as part of the new energytransition with in the Country. The project is the first of many large-scaleutility solar projects planned. The 10MWp plant will produce an estimated18,092kWh/Year saving 6942.6 Tonnes/CO/Year. I-kWh CEO Aaron Astley said: “The project has been a great achievement and a huge accomplishment for Syria. The plant has been constructed in Adra City, roughly 40km out of the Capital City, Damascus and was opening last week by President Bashar Al-Assad, President of Syria. President Bashar, flicked the switch, officially commissioning the plant.
